Dept.9 Studios develops original film, television, and digital content for an adult audience. The development department is focused on scripted content across multiple formats including feature films, series, and web series. While our slate is genre agnostic and we are open to most scripted pitches, we are currently working on genre features, bold half-hour comedies, impactful limited series based on pre-existing IP such as novels, and one-hour dramas with big worlds.

The development team is open to connecting with experienced showrunners as well as emerging talent. We are connected with and pitch to all major Canadian broadcasters as well as streaming services and distributors.
